Enrollments
 
Enrollments for the 2024-2025 school year will begin on March 1, 2024.
 
Student enrollments for Stanly County Schools are completed using the ScribEnroll system that can be found at the link below.  Parents and guardians will create an account in the ScribEnroll system and complete the appropriate enrollment form for their student. 
 
Before any student is assigned to attend Stanly County Schools, the student's parent or legal guardian must provide proof of domicile in Stanly county and proof of legal guardianship.
 
Domicile refers to someone's true, principal, and permanent home.  In other words, the place where a person has physically lived, regards as home, and intends to return even if currently residing elsewhere.
 
The following documents are required for enrollment:
  • Photo identification of the parent/guardian
  • Birth Certificate
  • Signed and Notarized Safe Schools Form
  • Completed Occupational Survey
  • Legal documentation (if applicable)
 
For Proof of Residency
Tier 1 - ONE (1) of the following documents must be shown:
Copy of property deed
OR
Most recent mortgage statement
Closing documents
OR
Settlement statement
Copy of residential lease
 
 
 
AND
Tier 2 - TWO (2) of the following documents must be shown (you may only choose ONE (1) from each category):
Utility bill from the past 30 days:
  • Electric
  • Gas
  • Water
  • Telephone/Cable
 
Valid state issued ID:
  • NC Driver's License
  • NC ID Card
 
 
 
Financial statement from the last 30 days:
  • Payroll stub
  • Bank statement
  • Credit card statement
 
DSS Assistance verification:
  • Medicaid
  • EBT/FNS Benefits
  • Child Support
Tax Information from the past year:
  • Vehicle tax bill
  • Property tax bill
  • Income tax statement
Other:
  • Voter registration
  • Current vehicle registration
 
 
 
Upon completing the enrollment application, the parent/guardian can then upload the required documents (residency verifications, birth certificate, enrollment affidavit, etc.) into the system for review by our enrollment specialist. 
 
Once the application is complete and all required documents are received, the parent/guardian will receive a notification via email that the enrollment is complete and will then be contacted by the school.
 
 
If you will need bus transportation for your child to and/or from school, you will also need to complete the bus transportation form found at link below.

Student Transfers
 
Student Transfer Requests for the 2024-2025 school year will open on February 1st and close on May 15th
 
Student Transfer requests for Stanly County Schools are completed using the ScribChoice system that can be found at the link below.  Parents and guardians will create an account in the ScribChoice system and complete the appropriate form for their student. 
 
Upon completing the application for Student Transfer, the parent/guardian can then upload required documents into the system for review by our District Transfer Committee. 
 
Once the application is complete and all required documents are received, the parent/guardian will receive a notification of the transfer decision via email once the transfer window has closed.

Release from Stanly County Schools
 
District Releases for the 2024-2025 school year will open on February 15th.
 
A "District Release" is requested when a parent or legal guardian is domiciled in Stanly County but requests their child(ren) be enrolled in a different county. District Release applications MUST be approved by the Board of Education. The Board meets on the first Tuesday of each month. Requests are processed on the next business day following each Board meeting. Notification of the Board's decision is sent via email.
