NC Report Cards
Dear Parents and Community,
I am pleased to share the 2011‐12 NC Report Card for Stanly County Schools with you. As Superintendent of Stanly County Schools, I encourage parents and our community to take time to review the report for the district as well as each school. You will find important data such as ABCs test proficiency results, promotion data, average class size, source of funds, use of funds, school safety, school attendance, teacher quality and more. The data will show school‐level, district‐level, and state-level data for most areas and help viewers gain a better understanding of performance in our schools, our district and the entire state. Our district constantly reviews data, seeks opportunities for improvement, designs plans for accomplishing new goals, and looks forward to what we will do in the future.
We are proud to say that 81.6% of our schools made either expected or high growth according to NC ABC’s of Public Education, 41% met one hundred percent of their annual measurable objective targets (AM0) and 54.5% met ninety percent or more of their AMO targets. Our graduation cohort rate of 81.2% exceeds that of the state and our dropout rate continues to decrease.
Our students and staff members work extremely hard on a daily basis. We continuously assess where we are as a school and as a district so we can better serve our students and our community. If you have any thoughts or ideas that can help us in this endeavor, please do not hesitate to contact me or your child’s principal. Thank you for your support and commitment to Stanly County Schools.
Sincerely,
Dr. Terry Griffin
Superintendent of Stanly County Schools
