West Stanly Players
The West Stanly Players were created in 1970 by
James D. Kennedy as a means to introduce professional quality theatre
to high school students. Since the club was created, the Players have
strived to maintain the goals set forth by Mr. Kennedy. Each year the
Players produce two main stage productions: a small, student-driven,
fall production and a large-scale spring production in May. Students
are afforded the opportunity to work with theatre professionals from
around the country and are provided insight into the inner workings of
a professional theatre company.
