2022 Summer Bridge Academy Sessions

The dates for Summer Bridge are as follows:
 
June 13-16, Remediation & Retesting
 
June 20-30, Rising 6th Grade Transition Camp & Rising 9th Grade Transition Camp
 
June 20-30, Credit Recovery
All Summer Bridge Academy opportunities are Monday through Thursday only!

ELEMENTARY:
Kindergarten and first grade students report to East Albemarle Elementary Schools. Students in second, third, fourth, and fifth grades report to Central Elementary School.
School supply lists are not distributed for summer school The district attempts to provide all needed materials for students.

East Albemarle Arrival / Dismissal Times:
Students in grades K-1 attending Summer School at East Albemarle Elementary School may be dropped off in the car rider line (in the back of the school) beginning at 7:30 A.M. each morning. School officially begins at 8:00 A.M. Afternoon dismissal begins at 3:00 P.M.; car riders may be picked up in the car rider line in the back of the school.
 
Central Arrival / Dismissal Times:
Students in grades 2-5 attending Summer School at Central Elementary School may be dropped off in the car rider line (in the front of the school) beginning at 8:00 A.M. each morning. School officially begins at 8:30 A.M. Afternoon dismissal begins at 3:30 P.M.; car riders may be picked up in the car rider line in the front of the school.
 
SECONDARY:
Middle Schools
Arrival / Dismissal Times and Procedures:
Students attending the Summer Bridge Academy Rising 6th Grade Transition Camps will report to their assigned school. Students may be dropped off in the Car Rider Line (in front of the school) beginning at 7:30 am each morning. Camp officially begins at 8:00 am. Afternoon dismissal begins at 3:00 pm; Car Riders may be picked up in the Car Rider line in front of the school.
High School Drivers will park behind Albemarle Middle School in the lower parking area by the athletic fields.

High Schools
Students attending the Rising 9th Grade Transition Camps will report to their assigned school. Students may be dropped off in the Car Rider Line (in front of the school) beginning at 7:30 am each morning. Camp officially begins at 8:00 am. Afternoon dismissal begins at 3:00 pm; Car Riders may be picked up in the Car Rider line in front of the school.
 
Credit Recovery will be held at one central location. All students wishing to recover credits will report to Albemarle 
High School. Students may be dropped off in the Car Rider Line (in front of the school) beginning at 7:30 am each morning. Credit Recovery officially begins at 8:00 am. Afternoon dismissal begins at 3:00 pm; Car Riders may be picked up in the Car Rider line in front of the school. High School Drivers will park in the student parking area.
 
GENERAL INFORMATION:

Bus Transportation:
If you indicated your child would be a bus rider, you will be contacted by the Stanly County Schools Transportation Department later to confirm the bus number and approximate pick-up and drop-off times.
 
Meals:
All students attending the Summer Bridge Academy will be served lunch free of charge each day. There will be no menu posted as it depends on the availability of items.
