Custodial Responsibilities
Custodians are responsible for making minor repairs. This may include reinstalling broken dispensers or pencil sharpeners, tightening nuts, screws on equipment, etc. Please use your custodial staff as often as possible to perform these types of repairs. This does not include working on locks. Locks are expensive and can be quite complex and this work should be left to employees who have been properly trained.
Custodians are responsible for changing HVAC filters that can be reached up to 8' ladder height, changing burned out light bulbs and replacing ceiling tiles. Maintenance personnel will not be dispatched to perform these tasks.
