Sales Tax Information

For several years Stanly County has looked at adopting a ¼ cent sales tax. At a joint meeting with the Stanly County School Board and the Stanly County Board of Commissioners, full support from both boards was given to pursue the ¼ cent sales tax on the fall ballot.

Good afternoon families of Stanly County Schools. Information provided by national and local emergency officials predict wind gusts of 30-50 MPS and 5-8 inches of rain for our area beginning early AM. Stanly County Schools will heed their advice, and all schools will be closed for students on Thursday, October 11, 2018. Tomorrow will be an optional workday for staff who can report to work safely. All after-school activities for Thursday are cancelled. We will continue to monitor the weather and communicate with our families. Thank you for your support and understanding during this time.

Congratulations to North Stanly High School and South Stanly High School for their recognition as a NCHSAA Ejection-Free School for the 2017-2018 school year. This distinction is the result of the hard work of student athletes, parents, coaches, administration and fans.
