School Social Worker Week

Stanly County Schools joins the School Social Work Association of America (SSWAA) to celebrate the contributions of school social workers by focusing on the whole child, linking students and families to outside resources and being a valuable voice on the school's multidisciplinary team.

"School social workers are Specialized Instructional Support Personnel, working with students and their families, so that children feel supported at home and at school," said Myrna Mandlawitz, Government Relations Director of the School Social Work Association of America.

We appreciate the contributions provided by our four school social workers, Katelyn Holbert, Misty Huneycutt, Alissa Rucki and Maria Stine.
