Mayor Steve Huber greeted students in the car rider line early this morning as students arrived anticipating a fun day at Locust Elementary School. Mayor Huber spent the day learning about all the many responsibilities of being an elementary school principal in Stanly County.
He was received by curious students who were anxious to ask a wide variety of questions for the mayor.
"How did you become mayor? How much do you make? Can you do magic?" were just a few of the inquiries.
Mayor Huber graciously answered with a smile as students listened intensely.
