During the Board of Education meeting on February 4th, Dr. Jeff James presented a report on school capacities that will be impacted by HB90 legislation which addresses the maximum class size mandate.
Dr. James emphasized the need for more funding and more teachers as the district goes forward in preparation for being in compliance with the mandate. The presentation highlighted current and projected needs throughout the district. He recommended discussing viable options with County Commissioners.
Dr. James also suggested conducting community meetings for open discussion concerning the HB90 mandate requirements. Starting in the Fall of 2021-22 all school districts must be in compliance.
