Ms. Kim Dean announced as the new Principal of East Albemarle Elementary School.

Personnel Announcement: 

Stanly County Schools is pleased to announce Ms. Kim Dean as the new Principal of East Albemarle Elementary School.

Ms. Dean steps into the role previously held by Ms. Judith Taylor, who now serves as the district’s Director of Elementary Education. We are grateful for Ms. Taylor’s leadership and lasting impact on the East Albemarle community, and we look forward to her continued contributions at the district level.

Ms. Dean brings with her 22 years of experience in both public and private education, all within grades K–6. Throughout her career, she has served as a classroom teacher, EC teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal. She joined Stanly County Schools in 2021 as an Instructional Coach at East Albemarle Elementary, and most recently served as Assistant Principal at Locust Elementary and Stanfield Elementary.

Ms. Dean holds a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a Master of School Administration (MSA). She also holds licensure in Elementary Education, Exceptional Children – General Curriculum, Curriculum Instructional Specialist, and School Administrator – Principal.
