Summer Parent Information Sessions – Mark Your Calendars!
Stanly County Schools' Curriculum & Instruction team, in collaboration with Stanly Community College, will be offering three valuable parent information sessions this summer—all held at the Albemarle Middle School Library at 6:00 PM.
These sessions are designed to help families better understand the academic opportunities available through Career & College Promise (CCP), graduation requirements, and community college pathways.
📅 June 10 – CCP Parent Information Night
✔️ Required for parents of students taking CCP courses
✔️ Learn about student expectations and opportunities
✔️ Target audience is parents of high school students
📅 June 24 – Graduation Requirement Overview
✔️ Learn about high school and college course opportunities.
✔️ Learn about NC graduation requirements
✔️ Target audience is parents of middle school students about to enter high school and high school parents
📅 July 8 – Community College AA and AS Degrees, Certificates & Credentials
✔️ Led by SCC to provide information about AA and AS degree pathways and courses students will need to achieve these degrees.
✔️ Learn the differences between AA/AS degrees and certificate/credential programs
✔️ Target audience is parents of high school students
