Personnel Announcement:
Stanly County Schools is pleased to welcome Ms. Shannon Long as the new Principal of Albemarle Middle School, following the resignation of Mr. Brian Bradshaw.
Ms. Long brings with her 24 years of experience in education, having served in various roles across Lee, Mecklenburg, Union, and Rowan counties. She began her career as a high school English teacher and volleyball and softball coach, teaching and coaching for 12 years before moving into school administration. Over the past 11 years, she has served as an assistant principal at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, with the majority of her leadership experience rooted in middle school.
Ms. Long is a graduate of East Carolina University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in English Education and Communications, and she holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Wingate University.

Albemarle Middle School provides many opportunities for students, and it is an honor to be a part of the growth to come. I am so excited to redevelop and restore the connections with the school and community and create student leaders."
