Personnel Announcement
Stanly County Schools is pleased to announce that Dr. Andrea Russell has been named the new Principal of Stanly County Virtual Education (SCoVE) and the Stanly Academy Learning Center (SALC).
Dr. Russell brings with her 20 years of dedicated service in education—all within Stanly County Schools. Her career began as a High School Science Teacher at South Stanly High School. She later served as an Assistant Principal at multiple middle and high schools across the district and has most recently led as Principal of North Stanly High School for the past three years.
Dr. Russell holds a Bachelor’s degree in Comprehensive Science Secondary Education from Pfeiffer University, a Master of School Administration (MSA) from Western Carolina University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership (EdD) also from Western Carolina University. She is licensed as a high school teacher, principal, and superintendent, and is a certified AVID Site Coordinator.
Dr. Russell shared, “I am looking forward to building new learning partnerships with our SCoVE and SALC students!”
