Attention Retired Teachers: Lifetime Licensure Is Available!

🍎 Attention Retired Teachers! 

If you have 30 years of service showing in ORBIT, you may be eligible for a Lifetime Teaching License — eliminating the need to renew your license every five years! 

Here’s how to apply:
1️⃣ Ensure your current teaching license is active.
2️⃣ Log in to the NCDPI Online Licensure System.

If you can’t log in, use the “Forgot Password/User ID” option.

Still having trouble? Call 1-800-577-7994 (have your SSN or license number handy).

3️⃣ Once logged in, choose “Upgrade/Clear License”.
4️⃣ Upload your ORBIT statement showing 30 years of service.
5️⃣ Complete the Statement of Applicant Questions and pay the $60 application fee.
