Stanly County Schools is pleased to announce Jolene Graham as the district's new Director of Elementary Education and Federal Programs.
Mrs. Graham brings 19 years of experience in education and a strong background in literacy, instructional leadership, and school improvement. Throughout her career, she has served as an elementary classroom teacher, Reading Design Coach, Early Literacy Specialist, and most recently as Director of Elementary Education and Federal Programs. Her passion for supporting educators and improving student outcomes has been evident in every role she has held.
During her career, Mrs. Graham has led district literacy initiatives, supported Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) implementation, and facilitated professional learning for teachers, instructional coaches, and administrators. She has partnered with school leaders to strengthen instructional practices and improve student achievement while also presenting at state and regional conferences on early literacy best practices.
Mrs. Graham holds bachelor's degrees in Early Childhood and Childhood Education, as well as a master's degree in Reading (K–12). Her expertise in curriculum, instruction, and educational leadership will help guide the district's continued commitment to academic excellence.
In her new role, Mrs. Graham will focus on strengthening core instruction in foundational skills, reading, mathematics, and writing; supporting principals and teachers through meaningful professional learning; aligning district initiatives; improving student achievement through data-informed decision-making; and ensuring the effective management of federal programs.

Originally from Alden, New York, Mrs. Graham enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, reading, and helping coach her daughter's volleyball team.
