Stanly County Schools is pleased to announce Mr. Riley Honeycutt as the new Assistant Principal of Albemarle Middle School.
Mr. Honeycutt enters his 13th year in public education, bringing a strong background in instructional leadership, educational technology, and student-centered learning. He began his career as a Spanish teacher at West Stanly High School, where he spent seven years building meaningful relationships with students while fostering academic growth and engagement.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Education, a Master's degree in Instructional Technology, and recently completed his school leadership program at UNC Charlotte. Most recently, Mr. Honeycutt served as an Assistant Principal Intern at Albemarle High School, gaining valuable leadership experience while preparing for his transition into school administration.
In addition to his classroom and leadership experience, Mr. Honeycutt has served as an Information Technology Specialist and an NCDPI Rethink Education Badged Facilitator, supporting innovative instructional practices and technology integration across schools.
As he joins the Bulldog family, Mr. Honeycutt is eager to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families while helping create a positive and successful school community.
