Stanly County Schools is pleased to announce Mrs. Erin Gardiner as the new Assistant Principal of Albemarle High School!
Mrs. Gardiner begins her 23rd year in education, bringing more than two decades of experience serving students across Stanly County Schools. Most recently, Ms. Gardiner served for two years as Dean of Students at Albemarle High School. Prior to joining the administrative team at Albemarle High, she spent 20 years in the classroom, inspiring students at North Stanly Middle School, West Stanly High School, and Stanly STEM Early College.
Mrs. Gardiner earned a Bachelor's degree in History and Anthropology, teacher licensure, and a Master's degree in Education from UNC Charlotte. She is currently completing her Certificate in School Leadership at Appalachian State University and is expected to finish the program in December 2026.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Gardiner has been recognized for her commitment to student success and educational excellence. She has been named Teacher of the Year at both North Stanly Middle School and Stanly STEM Early College and was honored as Albemarle High School's 2026 Support Staff Member of the Year.
As she continues serving the Bulldog community, Mrs. Gardiner is committed to fostering a positive school culture where every student is encouraged to succeed both academically and personally.

Outside of school, Mrs. Gardiner enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeff, and their three children, Jeffrey, Rayne, and Anna. She and her husband are also proud foster parents in Stanly County and are passionate about giving back to their community through fostering.
