This summer the technology department diligently worked to upgrade technology in classrooms throughout the district. Most projectors and ActivBoards were nearing or exceeding their expected lifespan making it difficult for students to see anything the teacher was trying to project within the classroom. As part of Shawn Britt's "Vision 2020" plan, most elementary teachers received a brand new 65" flat panel ActivPanel. Middle school students will also be given a brand new Chromebook to maintain our commitment to the 1:1 student technology initiative started over 5 years ago. Additionally, all middle school and high school teachers will receive a brand new Chromebook to assist in creative innovative lessons for our students.
