Optional Face Covering Beginning October 25, 2021
Stanly County Schools will allow wearing face coverings to be OPTIONAL beginning October 25, 2021, due to the COVID-19 positivity rate for Stanly County falling below 7.9%. In order for face coverings to remain optional, and to further reduce the number of students/staff who are required to quarantine as well as to reduce the number of positive cases within our schools, all efforts to social distance will be practiced. Students riding public school transportation will continue to wear face coverings at this time.
We are optimistic that Stanly County is moving forward in a return to community normalcy with the present trending rate of infection slowly dropping. As we all stand together in our battle with Covid-19, we know this is still a fluid situation. Stanly County Schools will monitor information relevant to keeping students/staff safe and remain in a face-to-face learning environment.
Thank you for your support! Together we can continue overcoming these challenges.
