Enrollment, Transfers, and District Releases from SCS


- Enrollment applications are completed online. Required documents may be uploaded directly in the application.
- Families who prefer to submit documents in person may bring them to the District Office during business hours. No appointment is required.
- Free notary services are available at the District Office. Required documents are provided in the office, and a valid photo ID is required.
- Once the application is submitted and all required documents are received, the parent or guardian will receive an email confirming enrollment. District or school staff will then contact the family with the student’s start date.

According to Stanly County Schools Board Policy 4150, “Students will not be reassigned to schools that are identified as already exceeding a core facility capacity of 90% except as provided by General Statutes.”
For the 2026-2027 school year, the schools that will not be available for transfer requests will be:
- Aquadale Elementary School
- Locust Elementary School
- Stanfield Elementary School
- West Stanly Middle School
- West Stanly High School
Student Transfer requests for Stanly County Schools are completed using the ScribChoice system that can be found at the link below. Parents and guardians will create an account in the ScribChoice system and complete the appropriate form for their student.
Upon completing the application for Student Transfer, the parent/guardian can then upload required documents into the system for review by our District Transfer Committee.
Once the application is complete and any supporting documents are received, the parent/guardian will receive a notification of the transfer decision via email once the transfer window has closed.
