Project consists of Part 1: the furnishing & installation of a wheelchair lift in a modified cafeteria location - to include reworking an existing wood framed glass partition, and electrical work in order to provide service connection to lift; and Part 2: the addition of a security door entrance directly into the existing office, the modification to the existing entrance doors, the relocation of several wall mounted devices and electrical work for mag lock door hardware and entry console. Bids will be received for General Construction (all trades).
 
Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until: 28 April 2026 at 3:00 p.m. local time, delivered to Stanly County Schools Facilities Dept., 27633 Betty St., Albemarle, NC 28001. Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Submit bid security with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. In accordance with NCGS Chapter 133-3, the following manufacturers and products are being considered by the Owner for this Project: Wheelchair Lift: Garaventa Lift Obtain access to bidding documents after 30 March 2026, by contacting the Architect. Online access will be provided to prime bidders only. Examine bidding documents after 30 March 2026, at the locations below: Office of the Architect. ISquareFoot Online Plan Room: Charlotte, North Carolina. Sharpe Co: Monroe, North Carolina. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and meet specified qualifications, and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
