Emergency Maintenance

Emergency requests should be called into the Maintenance department. Emergency work request are defined as maintenance problems which may:

Endanger a person's health, safety, and welfare
Increase damage to Stanly County Public School property
Result in school closure
Involve a security risk
Preclude hot meal preparation
Disrupt general orderliness of a school's operation

Some examples of emergencies are: entire school without heat, air conditioning, water or electricity; fire; cafeterias without hot water; malfunctioning sewer lines; plumbing fixtures which could cause a sewage back-up or water running on the floor; or broken glass which may cause a security risk (outside window).

Please remember that any emergency call causes us to pull personnel from work in progress at another school to respond immediately.
